Baker’s Rochester/Syracuse Division Participates in NYSRA Golf Tourney to Raise Funds for ProStart Food Service Education Program
Baker Commodities’ Rochester/Syracuse Divisionsrecently participated in the New York State Restaurant Association (NYSRA) 28th Annual NYSRA Rochester Chapter Golf Tournament. The event benefits ProStart, a nationwide, two-year program for high school students that develops industry leaders. From culinary techniques to management skills, ProStart’s industry-driven curriculum provides real world educational opportunities, builds practical skills and establishes a foundation that will last a life time. By bringing industry and the classroom together, ProStart gives students a platform to discover new interests and talents and opens doors for fulfilling careers.
In all, 144 golfers participated in the tournament. Representing Baker were L-R:Timothy Webster,Todd Amato(Rochester Division employees) andWilliam Russell(Syracuse),Jesse Dixon(Rochester).
